Piper Sandler analyst Korinne Wolfmeyer lowered the price target on Olaplex Inc (NASDAQ: OLPX) to $1.50 (from $2.00) while maintaining a Neutral rating.
The analyst comments "OLPX is showing good progress on the top line, with growth anticipated to get back to positive territory later in 2025. This comes following heavy investments, including team build-out both U.S. and OUS, increased R&D, and greater (and more tactical) marketing spend. As a result, margins are resetting to more normalized beauty levels. The top line progression and the margin reset is what we've been looking for to get more comfortable with forward targets. However, it's still early days, and with the reset, our estimates did have to come down. With the lowered targets, we struggle to see meaningful near/intermediate term share upside, justifying our unchanged Neutral rating, but we're becoming more optimistic around the LT potential if things progress as planned. Our PT moves to $1.50."
