Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Deepak Mathivanan lowered the price target on Etsy (NASDAQ: ETSY) to $43.00 (from $46.00) while maintaining a Neutral rating.
The analyst commented, "ETSY reported 4Q GMS 3% below the Street, but EBITDA came in 2% above due to better take-rate and gross margin (Visible Alpha). On outlook, the company guided 1Q GMS y/y decline to be largely in-line with 4Q. Although 1Q guide points to a bleak NT picture, ETSY expects trends on top-line and profitability to improve in 2H. Overall, there are plenty of uncertainties on ETSY's fundamental outlook for 2025. The company's GMS growth remains under pressure from several macro and company-specific factors, while product initiatives are showing little impact in the early days. We prefer to stay on the sidelines until we see signs of stability on the platform. We reiterate our Neutral rating and lower our 12- month price target to $43 (vs. $46 previously)."
