RBC Capital analyst Ashish Sabadra reiterated an Outperform rating and $620.00 price target on S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI).
The analyst commented: "MI's Upswing, Issuance Upside, and Strong Margins: Catalysts for a Stock Revaluation; The improvement in MI organic growth in 4Q24, along with solid retention, significant competitive wins, and a strong start to the 2025 pipeline, is set to bolster growth in FY25. This should occur despite a competitive end market and pricing sensitivity, potentially alleviating investor concerns. In addition, we anticipate an upside to SPGI's issuance guidance of LSD+ due to a capital market recovery. Separately, the FY25 margin guidance exceeded expectations; a disciplined approach to expense management combined with a balanced focus on investments and profitability should yield robust margin expansion over the mid-term."
