KeyBanc analyst Bradley Thomas raised the price target on Tempur Sealy (NYSE: TPX) to $66.00 (from $62.00) while maintaining a Overweight rating.
The analyst commented: "On Monday and Tuesday, we held meetings at the Las Vegas World Market, speaking with retailers, manufacturers, and suppliers within the mattress and furniture industries. We come away incrementally positive on OW-rated TPX and its ability to continue share gains from refreshed product, incremental distribution, and the potential MFRM transaction. As such, we raise our PT on TPX to $66.
At Market, TPX introduced the refreshed line of Sealy Posturepedic mattresses (more details on the refresh below). This refresh is expected to be majority rolled out before Memorial Day, with roll-out costs similar to those in 2024, though with the potential of timing headwinds in 1H. The product refresh is expected to improve efficiency by reducing the number of SKUs from 50 to 30, while increasing the number of hybrid mattresses. In addition, management expects the roll-out to primarily benefit velocity, but could also support incremental slots. Looking ahead, we continue to believe Sealy will be expanding its product distribution to an incremental 300 Sam’s Club stores (from 300 today). Moreover, we believe the overall international product and strategy will improve distribution and sell through."
