Goldman Sachs Reiterates Neutral Rating on Tarsus Pharmaceuticals (TARS)

Goldman Sachs analyst Andrea Tan reiterated a Neutral rating and $41.00 price target on Tarsus Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: TARS)

The analyst comments "We met with management where TARS discussed the 2025 outlook for continued growth opportunities, including the recent announcement to progress development of TP-04 (topical gel formulation of lotilaner) for the treatment of ocular rosacea, another eye care indication believed to be caused by Demodex mite infestation. This decision comes on the back of eye care practitioner (ECP) interest/demand for such a product and work is now underway to finalize the assessments and scales that will be used to measure redness and vessel dilation (endpoints agreed upon with the FDA) in the upcoming Ph2 study (expected to initiate in 2H25 with initial proof-of-concept data in 2026). While we await further disclosures, we see the expansion of the lotilaner opportunity into ocular rosacea as logical, noting potential synergies that can be leveraged across the company's existing eye care call universe in DB and adjacent indications to support a robust launch. In the meantime, we expect investors to remain focused on the ongoing Xdemvy launch in DB where script trends appear to suggest robust prescribing, likely benefiting, in part, from last year's sales force expansion and DTC campaign launches."
