Monness, Crespi, Hardt analyst Brian White upgraded Twilio (NYSE: TWLO) from Neutral to Buy with a price target of $135.00.
The analyst comments "Twilio, Inc. (TWLO – Buy – $97.13): Upgrading TWLO to BUY. Few companies in the software world have experienced a fall from grace as spectacular as Twilio. Even with the recent rebound, Twilio’s stock is still down 79% from its peak and holds the lowest enterprise-value-to-revenue multiple in our software coverage. Prior to the COVID-19 crisis, Twilio was regarded as a high-growth, innovative, software vendor, and the company’s future grew brighter during the pandemic. With the advent of the COVID-19 crisis, the value of Twilio’s digital platform proved indispensable, driving strong customer demand and catapulting the stock price to an all-time high in early 2021. As pandemic-related concerns peaked and the global economy began to reopen, Twilio’s growth rate plummeted, revealing a bloated cost structure, inefficiencies, and a reckless acquisition strategy. This led to multiple layoffs and the eventual appointment of Khozema Shipchandler as CEO in January 2024. Heading into 2025, we believe Twilio is on course to extend this recovery, and the stock’s valuation remains attractive. As such we are upgrading our rating on Twilio to Buy from Neutral with a 12-month price target of $135."
