BMO Capital analyst James Thalacker lowered the price target on Alliant Energy (NASDAQ: LNT) to $61.00 (from $65.00) while maintaining a Market Perform rating.
The analyst commented, "LNT reported a headline beat on the quarter at $1.15 vs $1.10/$1.09 consensus/BMO estimates. Management narrowed 2024 guidance range by bringing the top end of the range down 7c to $2.99-3.06 (3c lower at midpoint) vs BMO/consensus estimates of $3.06 into the print. It also initiated 2025 guidance of $3.15-3.25 ($3.20 midpoint) vs $3.27/$3.26 BMO/consensus and reaffirmed 5-7% long-term EPS growth off the 2024 midpoint. We maintain our Market Perform rating. Our target price moves to $61 as we mark to market our SOTP valuation."
