Solarfun Power Holdings Co. Ltd. (Nasdaq: SOLF): Reports Q1 results, plus China stocks under pressure.

Versant Corporation (Nasdaq: VSNT) 16% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.52, versus $0.32 for the comparable period last year. The company reported revenues of $5.2 million from its continuing operations, compared to $3.8 million for the comparable period. Based on the first two quarters' performance in fiscal 2007, Versant is raising its guidance for fiscal 2007.

Coldwater Creek Inc. (Nasdaq: CWTR) 11.5% HIGHER reports Q1 EPS of $0.13, 5 cents better than estimates. Net sales in the fiscal 2007 first quarter increased 30.7% to $281.3 million from $215.3 million in the fiscal 2006 first quarter. (Consensus is $264.47 million)

Synovis Life Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: SYNO) 10% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.06, 5 cents better than estimates. Revenues were $16.6 million vs. 15.25 million consensus.

Borders Group, Inc. (NYSE: BGP) 5.6% LOWER; reports a Q1 loss of $0.51 (ex-items), 13 cents worse than estimates. Revenues were $876.8 million vs. $876.01 million consensus.

Dress Barn (Nasdaq: DBRN) 5% HIGHER; reports Q3 earnings of $0.33 per share, 2 cents better than estimates. Revenues came in at $347.9 million, versus the consensus of $350 million. Sees FY07 EPS of $1.38-$1.40, versus prior guidance of $1.30-$1.35 and the consensus of $1.33.

Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: IBKR) 5% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.31 compared to $0.34 for the same period in 2006. For the quarter ended March 31, 2007, net revenues were $330.8 million and income before income tax was $190.3 million, compared to net revenues of $328.6 million and income before income tax of $215.4 million for the same period in 2006.

Shanda Interactive Entertainment Ltd. (Nasdaq: SNDA) 4.7% LOWER; China stocks are lower

Biogen Idec Inc. (NASDAQ: BIIB) 4.7% HIGHER; said its Board of Directors has authorized a $3 billion share repurchase through a modified "Dutch Auction" tender offer.

Sohu.com Inc. (NASDAQ: SOHU) 4% LOWER; China stocks are lower

VeriFone Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: PAY) 4% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.39 (ex-items), 2 cents better than estimates. Revenues were $217.2 million vs. consensus of $221.22 million. "Based on these results and the $4 million of revenue which has been recognized in the third quarter, we are increasing our third quarter internal expectations for net revenue to $225 - $227 million and increasing our guidance for net income, as adjusted, per share to a range of $0.39 - $0.40. We remain confident of our prospects for the remainder of fiscal 2007." (Q3 revenue consensus is $228.38 million and EPS consensus is $0.38)

Openwave Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: OPWV) 4% HIGHER; Recent takeover speculation following Harbinger tender offer.

ACCO Brands Corporation (NYSE: ABD) 3.7% HIGHER; Breeden Capital disclosed a 9.71% stake (5.24 million shares). This is up from the 392,500 share stake the firm disclosed at the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

CDW Corporation (NASDAQ: CDWC) 3.3% HIGHER; signed a definitive merger agreement to be acquired by Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC in a transaction valued at approximately $7.3 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, CDW shareholders will receive $87.75 in cash.

Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. (Nasdaq: BWLD) 3% LOWER; RBC Capital downgrades to Sector Perform
