Goldman Sachs analyst Paul Choi reiterated a Neutral rating and $20.00 price target on Dynavax Technologies (NASDAQ: DVAX).
The analyst commented, "A surprise negative response from the FDA for Heplisav-B sBLA in hemodialysis program, though impact likely insignificant as market share growth in healthy adult population and attaining profitability remain the focus. DVAX today announced that the FDA has issued a CRL for its sBLA for the use of Heplisav-B in adult patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. While an unequivocal negative for the Heplisav-B program, we believe a label expansion into the hemodialysis population would have only incrementally boosted the asset's commercial trajectory. Overall, we believe the investment case for DVAX will continue to hinge on margin expansion and attaining profitability until further progress is made in the early stage pipeline."
