Assurant (AIZ) Tops Q1 EPS by 109c; offers guidance

Assurant (NYSE: AIZ) reported Q1 EPS of $4.97, $1.09 better than the analyst estimate of $3.88. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.88 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.84 billion.

GUIDANCE:

Assurant sees Q2 2024 EPS of $4.97, versus the consensus of $4.03.

Assurant sees FY2024 EPS of $17.13, versus the consensus of $15.66.

The company now expects depreciation expense of approximately $130 million, and continues to expect interest expense of approximately $107 million, amortization of purchased intangible assets of approximately $70 million, and an effective tax rate of approximately 20 to 22 percent..
