William Blair analyst Louis DiPalma upgraded Parsons Corp. (NYSE: PSN) from Market Perform to Outperform.
The analyst comments "Parsons is well-positioned to benefit from PFAS regulations with its organically developed PFAS technologies and technicaldiscriminators. Parsons has been a leader in PFAS investigation and remediation since 2009 serving both federal and industrialcustomers. On March 14, the Environmental Protection Agency announced the first-ever regulation to limit PFAS and PFOScontaminants in drinking water. The EPA proposed regulations that will require PFAS contamination to not exceed 4 parts pertrillion, the lowest detectable level of contamination. The company’s water treatment lab in Syracuse, NY, tests filtration technologywith capability to examine soil and groundwater, large concentration waste streams, and large volumes of solid mass. Parsonsindicated that it has four existing patents, and a pending patent for PFAS remediation at the subsurface level. Management indicatedthat this market could potentially be worth $140 billion over the next 30 years. William Blair energy and sustainability analyst TimMulrooney recently published a report on the rapidly growing and evolving PFAS market."
