(Nasdaq: BDSI) 62% HIGHER; announced statistically significant results with BEMA(TM) Fentanyl in cancer patients with breakthrough pain in its pivotal Phase III efficacy clinical trial for the product. The results are based on achievement of the primary efficacy endpoint of the trial, Summary of Pain Intensity Difference (SPID), compared to placebo.

XenoPort, Inc. (Nasdaq: XNPT) 24% HIGHER; announced top-line results from a Phase 3 clinical trial of XP13512 for the treatment of symptoms of primary restless legs syndrome (RLS). XP13512 demonstrated statistically significant improvements compared to placebo on both of the co-primary endpoints of the trial and was well tolerated.

K2 Inc. (NYSE: KTO) 20% HIGHER; Jarden Corporation (NYSE: JAH) and K2 Inc. signed a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which Jarden will acquire K2. Under the terms of the agreement, Jarden will pay $10.85 per share of K2 common stock in cash and will issue 0.1086 of a share of Jarden common stock (subject to adjustment as provided in the merger agreement) for each share of K2 common stock outstanding as of the closing. The cash and Jarden stock to be issued in the transaction has a combined value of approximately $15.50 per K2 share, based on the closing price of Jarden common stock on the date of signing the merger agreement.

24/7 Real Media (Nasdaq: TFSM) 17% HIGHER; reports from the New York Post, 24/7 Real Media is up for sale and is talking with Martin Sorrell's WPP Group. Analysts said 24/7 Real Media may be worth up to $600 million in a deal.
