Verizon Communications (VZ) Raises Quarterly Dividend 2% to $0.6525; 6.3% Yield

Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.6525 per share, or $2.61 annualized. This is a 2% increase from the prior dividend of $0.64.
The dividend will be payable on November 1, 2022, to stockholders of record on October 7, 2022, with an ex-dividend date of October 6, 2022.
The annual yield on the dividend is 6.3 percent.
This is the 16th consecutive year Verizon’s Board has approved a quarterly dividend increase. “Our consistently disciplined approach to the market to maximize growth and profitability has again put the Verizon Board in a position to raise the dividend,” said Chairman and CEO Hans Vestberg. “We will continue to execute our network-as-a-service strategy to deliver long-term shareholder value.”Verizon has approximately 4.2 billion shares of common stock outstanding. The company made approximately $5.4 billion in cash dividend payments in the first half of 2022.
