Altria Group (MO) Raises Quarterly Dividend 4.4% to $0.94; 8.2% Yield

Altria Group (NYSE: MO) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.94 per share, or $3.76 annualized. This is a 4.4% increase from the prior dividend of $0.90.

The dividend will be payable on October 11, 2022, to stockholders of record on September 15, 2022, with an ex-dividend date of September 14, 2022.

The annual yield on the dividend is 8.2 percent.

"Today’s dividend increase reflects our intention to return a large amount of cash to shareholders in the form of dividends and is consistent with our long-term objective of a dividend payout ratio target of approximately 80% of our adjusted diluted earnings per share," the company said. "This increase marks the 57th dividend increase in the past 53 years."
