Morgan Stanley analyst Alex Poon reiterated an Overweight rating and $130.00 price target on NetEase.com (NASDAQ: NTES) after the company announced that it is releasing Naraka Bladepoint, (PC flagship
franchise) on Xbox and Windows PC on June 23. The company is also also releasing Diablo Immortal in China on the same day with Harry Potter Asia likely to follow in 2H22.
The analyst stated "We think the success of NB has alleviated some investor concerns that NetEase's overseas foray was limited to Japan only. Top international markets of NB include the US and Vietnam, according to Ray Kuan, the game's lead producer. The game hosted its first global eSports tournament in January 2022, followed by NB Pro League in June. We think NB and the release of other global IPs (Diablo, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc) enhance NetEase's global branding, paving the way for the release of more self-developed titles in the future."
