Desktop Metal (DM) Misses Q3 EPS by 17c

Desktop Metal (NYSE: DM) reported Q3 EPS of ($0.26), $0.17 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.09). Revenue for the quarter came in at $25.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $28.63 million.

GUIDANCE:

Desktop Metal sees FY2021 revenue of $92-94 million, versus the consensus of $100.9 million.

  • Revising expectation to between $92 and $102 million of revenue for 2021, excluding the effects of acquiring ExOne, representing between 459% to 519% year-over-year growth from 2020
  • Revising expectation to between $(80) and $(90) million of adjusted EBITDA for 2021, excluding the effects of acquiring ExOne
