Craig-Hallum analyst Eric Lauriers lowered the price target on Village Farms International (NASDAQ: VFF) to $16.00 (from $25.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.
The analyst comments "We continue to think VFF is undoubtedly the best investment in Canadian cannabis given not only superior fundamentals (#1 brand, #1 profitability) but wildly cheaper shares (2.5x EV/sales vs. less profitable peers at a whopping 12x EV/sales). With 5.7M SF in TX, the company also has real US optionality unlike virtually every other Canadian competitor except CGC (not covered). While the retail-investor-heavy cannabis space remains volatile, we are confident that VFF will continue to gain share in Canada and that the market will eventually reward VFF with the Canadian crown it deserves."
