Credit Suisse analyst Dan Levy reiterated a Neutral rating and $280.00 price target on Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA)
The analyst comments "September is set up as a catalyst-rich month for Tesla, with a potential addition to the S&P 500 (potentially announced by the end of this week), as well as Battery Day on Sep. 22, which will showcase the growth story ahead for Tesla. More broadly, we see four factors responsible for the continued run-up in Tesla stock: retail, quant/momentum, short covering, and passive buying. While EV euphoria is a global phenomenon, we believe a key test lies ahead for Tesla in Europe, underscoring the need for the Berlin Gigafactory to go live."
