Southern Co. (NYSE: SO) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.64 per share, or $2.56 annualized. This is a 3.2% increase from the prior dividend of $0.62.

The dividend will be payable on June 8, 2020, to stockholders of record on May 18, 2020, with an ex-dividend date of May 15, 2020.

The annual yield on the dividend is 4.6 percent.
