Northland Capital Markets analyst Gus Richard upgraded AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) from Market Perform to Outperform with a price target of $52.50 (from $45.00).
The analyst commented, "We are upgrading AMD to OP as it a Company to own post-crisis, in our view. While it is difficult to know what the ultimate impact of the Coronavirus will be, we think at this junction people are at least aware of the problem. While we trim CY20, a shift in consumer behavior may benefit game console sales in 2H and we note solid demand in the data center market. We think at the current level, the stock is compelling on a 12 month or longer time frame. Lift PT to $52.50 on high CY21 estimates."
