Big Lots (BIG) Tops Q3 EPS by 2c, Comps Decline 0.1%, Guides Q4 EPS Below Consensus

Big Lots (NYSE: BIG) reported Q3 EPS of ($0.18), $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.20). Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.17 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.16 billion.

Comparable sales decreased 0.1% for the third quarter of fiscal 2019, compared to guidance of approximately flat.

GUIDANCE:

Big Lots sees Q4 2019 EPS of $2.40-$2.55, versus the consensus of $2.55.
