AnnTaylor Stores Corporation (NYSE: ANN) announced its sales results for the month of January 2007 and the full fiscal year 2006. The Company noted that fiscal 2006 represented a 53-week period, while fiscal 2005 represented a 52-week period.
For the five-week period ended February 3, 2007, net sales increased 21.0% to $149.9 million, compared with net sales of $123.9 million for the four-week period ended January 28, 2006.
Comparable store sales for the four-week period ended January 27, 2007 declined 10.2%, compared with a comparable store sales increase of 10.9% for the four-week period ended January 28, 2006.
For the full fiscal year 2006, net sales increased 13.0% to $2,342.9 million, versus net sales of $2,073.1 million for the full fiscal year 2005. Comparable store sales for the 52-week period ended January 27, 2007 increased 2.8%, compared with a comparable store sales increase of 0.1% for the 52-week period ended January 28, 2006.
