Macy's (M) Tops Q1 EPS by 11c, Comps Increase 0.6%, Offers FY Guidance

Macy's (NYSE: M) reported Q1 EPS of $0.44, $0.11 better than the analyst estimate of $0.33. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.5 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.52 billion.

Comparable sales growth of 0.6% on an owned basis; 0.7% on an owned plus licensed basis

GUIDANCE:

Macy's sees FY2019 EPS of $3.05-$3.25, versus the consensus of $3.09.

Comparable sales (owned plus licensed) Flat to up 1%
