Mercer Int'l (MERC) Raises Quarterly Dividend 10% to $0.1375; Approves $50M Buyback

Mercer Int'l (NASDAQ: MERC) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.1375 per share, or $0.55 annualized. This is a 10% increase from the prior dividend of $0.1250.
The dividend will be payable on July 3, 2019, to stockholders of record on June 24, 2019, with an ex-dividend date of June 21, 2019.
The annual yield on the dividend is 3.9 percent.
In addition, Mercer announces that its board of directors has also authorized a common stock repurchase program under which the Company may repurchase up to $50 million of its shares over the next 12 months. Repurchases may be made from time to time under the program through open market or in privately negotiated transactions, through block trades or pursuant to any trading plan that may be adopted in accordance with Rule 10b5-1 of the Securities and Exchange Commission. The repurchase program is subject to market conditions, applicable legal requirements and other factors and will comply with Rule 10b-18 of the Securities and Exchange Commission
