Mizuho Securities analyst, Irina Koffler, reiterated her Neutral rating on shares of Jazz Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: JAZZ) and raised the price target to $147 from $137 after the recent approval of Sunosi (solriamfetol for excessive sleepiness), and positive data (last night) in the Phase III trial of JZP-258 (low sodium Xyrem). Despite the positive impact of the events, the analyst believes they were widely expected.
The analyst stated "We believe that Jazz trades at a slight discount to its peers because of persistent concerns around Xyrem competition, commercial execution of new launches, and uncertainty about
the future of Erwinaze. Therefore, we don't expect a meaningful inflection to the stock from the JZP-258 (low sodium Xyrem) results announced after the close".
