Stifel analyst Steven Wieczynski reiterated a Buy rating and $70.00 price target on Carnival Corporation (NYSE: CCL) and expects the company to at least meet expectations when it reports F1Q19 EPS but due to the uncertainty of Europe, a positive yield revision is unlikely. If this issue causes a selloff, he would be a buyer.
The analyst stated "Caribbean/Alaska/Australia all continue to show strength in booking patterns throughout Wave Season and for the remainder of 2019; however uncertainty around Europe will probably require CCL to stay put with their full-year yield guidance. In addition, fuel/FX combined have been trending slightly negative which won’t help full year estimates".
