CVS May Comps UP 5.8%; Raises FY EPS Guidance

CVS Corporation (NYSE: CVS) said same store sales for the four weeks ended May 28, 2005 increased 5.8% over the prior year period. The company is also raising full-year diluted earnings per share guidance to a range of $2.70-$2.75, up from its previous guidance of $2.66-$2.72 (consensus is $2.71). Also raising second quarter diluted earnings per share guidance to a range of $0.61-$0.63, up from their earlier guidance of $0.59-$0.61 (consensus is $0.61)
