Morgan Stanley analyst, David Lewis, reiterated his Overweight rating on shares of Edwards Lifesciences (NYSE: EW) after ahead of Edward’s Partner 3 and Medtronic’s Low Risk trial data being presented as a part of a late breaking session on Sunday March 17th.
The analyst stated "Expectations are elevated and we think superiority has moved from improbable to possible in the investment debate. We ran a proprietary analysis evaluating 25+ precedent trials with independent contribution from 5+ KOLs before running a statistical analysis. Our analysis suggests a ~83% chance of TAVR demonstrating clinical superiority over SAVR in our base case (see Exhibit 1) and supports a positive risk/reward skew despite
recent improvement in trial sentiment". No change to the price target of $180.
