Guggenheim analyst, Matthew DiFrisco, reiterated a Buy rating and $200.00 price target on McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) ahead of the company's 4Q earnings report. U.S. SSS sentiment is high as QTD peers have topped expectations, implying stable consumer demand. DiFrisco sees the greatest NT catalyst for shares being a widening of the gap between the U.S. SSS and peers amid margin stability
MCD will release 2019 guidance and new segment reporting Wednesday. DiFrisco thinks the new segment reporting will reshuffle mature and growing market strategies. Guggenheim expects franchisee sentiment has troughed, as many of their concerns regarding labor, menu innovation, and remodels voiced to the 10 field offices will be addressed in 2019, coinciding with the slower EOTF remodel pace.
