RBC Capital analyst Brian Abrahams weighed in on Sage Therapeutics (NASDAQ: SAGE) following a Q&A session hosted by management, which the analyst noted offered mostly incremental tidbits, and overall supports their comfort and enthusiasm around efficacy/safety of ‘217 in PPD and beyond.
The data/comments reaffirms their view that with continued strong study conduct and the right allocation of investments, SAGE has a high (and growing) likelihood of bringing a game-changing $4B + opportunity antidepressant to the market.
"We remain buyers into strength, as we believe even following today’s ~45% upside, the company’s $7.7B market does not nearly reflect this potential market opportunity," he added.
The firm maintained an Outperform rating and price target of $255 on SAGE.
