Nike (NKE) Tops Q2 EPS by 6c

Nike (NYSE: NKE) reported Q2 EPS of $0.52, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.46. Revenue for the quarter came in at $9.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $9.17 billion.

Gross margin increased 80 basis points to 43.8 percent primarily driven by higher average selling prices and margin expansion in NIKE Direct, partially offset by higher product costs.
