Meridian Bancorp Inc. (EBSB) Raises Quarterly Dividend 40% to $0.07; 0.4% Yield

Meridian Bancorp Inc. (NASDAQ: EBSB) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.07 per share. This is a 40% increase from the prior dividend of $0.05.

The dividend will be payable on January 2, 2019, to stockholders of record on December 18, 2018, with an ex-dividend date of January 3, 2019.

The annual yield on the dividend is 0.4 percent.

Richard J. Gavegnano, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, said, “Our Board of Directors approved this 40% increase in our quarterly dividend in recognition of our rising earnings trends driven by continued growth in net interest income, strong asset quality and prudent expense management as enhanced this year by a lower federal income tax rate.”
