Hibbett Sports (HIBB) Misses Q3 EPS by 3c, Offers FY Guidance

Hibbett Sports (NASDAQ: HIBB) reported Q3 EPS of $0.14, $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.17. Revenue for the quarter came in at $216 million versus the consensus estimate of $217.6 million.

• Comparable sales for the 13-week period ended November 3, 2018 increased 0.1%.

GUIDANCE:

Hibbett Sports sees FY2019 EPS of $1.55-$1.65, versus the consensus of $1.63.

• Comparable sales in the range of flat to 1.0%, which compares with previous guidance in the range of -1.0% to 1.0%.

• Share buyback of approximately $18.0 million to $23.0 million, which compares with previous guidance of approximately $40.0 million to $50.0 million.
