Wells Fargo analyst David Maris weighed in on Bausch Health Companies (NYSE: BHC) after a new competitor for its largest product, Xifaxan, was approved after the close on Friday.
Maris estimates that Xifaxan represents approximately 15% of total BHC sales and a higher proportion of EBITDA.
"We believe this is the first step toward an eventual significant slowdown and potentially a decline in Xifaxan revenues," he commented.
The firm reiterated an Underperform rating and price target of $9.00 on BHC.
