Barrington Research analyst Alexander Paris Jr. raised the price target on Grand Canyon Education (NASDAQ: LOPE) to $150.00 (from $135.00) while maintaining a Outperform rating.
Analyst comments: "While LOPE trades at a premium to its postsecondary peers (25x 2019 EPS vs. 19x), we believe this premium is warranted given its high potential for consistently strong earnings growth as it has beaten analysts’ estimates for 32 consecutive quarters. Furthermore, with the completion of the GCU sale/conversion, significant incremental value could be unlocked for LOPE shareholders as revenue growth will be enhanced through additional university contracts over time, margins will be higher and as investors potentially award LOPE a higher multiple, particularly given the lower risk profile associated with an
education services provider."
