RBC Capital analyst, Stephen Walker, reiterated his Sector Perform rating on shares of Kinross Gold (NYSE: KGC) after the company reported adjusted EPS of -$0.04, a 4 cent miss compared to the Consensus $0.00. This also excludes $21M in costs related to the Fort Knox pit wall slide that occurred in March 2018 and including these costs results in adjusted EPS of -$0.06.

The analyst stated "The Q3 operational results were modestly below our expectations and 2018 operating guidance
was maintained. The Round Mountain, Bald Mountain, and Gilmore development projects are on track. Kinross continues to discuss a revised benefits agreement for Tasiast with the Government of Mauritania, and it remains to be seen what the impact on the Phase II expansion could be".
