American Financial Group (AFG) Declares $1.50 Special Dividend; 1.5% Yield

American Financial Group (NYSE: AFG) declared a special dividend of $1.50 per share.

The dividend will be payable on November 26, 2018, to stockholders of record on November 16, 2018, with an ex-dividend date of November 15, 2018.

The annual yield on the dividend is 1.5 percent.

AFG Co-CEOs S. Craig Lindner and Carl H. Lindner III stated: “Returning capital to shareholders in the form of this $1.50 special dividend reflects AFG’s strong financial position and our confidence in the Company’s financial future. Our excess capital remains at a level which affords us the financial flexibility to grow our business organically and opportunistically.”
