Citi analyst Atidrip Modak upgraded Viper Energy (NASDAQ: VNOM) from Neutral to Buy with a price target of $42.00 (from $36.00).

The analyst likes the increased production guidance and adjusts his production estimates. Modak believes the company continues to offer investors an attractive opportunity to benefit from improving commodity prices.
