Akcea Therapeutics (AKCA) Posts Smaller Q2 Loss

Akcea Therapeutics (NASDAQ: AKCA) reported Q2 EPS of ($0.72), $0.52 better than the analyst estimate of ($1.24). Revenue for the quarter came in at $18 million versus the consensus estimate of $12.56 million.

As of June 30, 2018 Akcea had cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments of $382 million compared to $260 million at December 31, 2017 which is sufficient to execute on key milestones through 2019.
