Amazon (AMZN) Q2 EPS Doubles Views, Revenue Misses, Offers Q3 Guidance

Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) reported Q2 EPS of $5.07, versus the analyst estimate of $2.50. Revenue for the quarter came in at $52.9 billion versus the consensus estimate of $53.27 billion.

GUIDANCE:

Amazon sees Q3 2018 revenue of $54-57.5 billion, versus the consensus of $58.02 billion.

• Operating income is expected to be between $1.4 billion and $2.4 billion, compared with $347 million in third quarter 2017.
