Argon ST, Inc. (Nasdaq: STST) 11.6% LOWER; reports Q4 earnings of $0.18 per share, well below the consensus of $0.30. Revenues came in at $66.1 million versus the consensus of $90.5 million. The company sees FY07 revenues of $305-$325 million, below the consensus of $350.11 million.
Magellan Health Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: MGLN) 9% LOWER; said for fiscal year 2007 it expects to generate net revenue in the range of $2.05 billion to $2.15 billion (consensus is $2.02 billion); net income in the range of $68 million to $83 million; and segment profit in the range of $190 million to $210 million. These results are expected to yield earnings per share in the range of $1.67 to $2.04 on a diluted basis for fiscal 2007 (consensus is $2.35)
Progen Industries Ltd. (NASDAQ: PGLA) 9% LOWER; sees profit taking after 120% run-up
Geron Corporation (NASDAQ: GERN) 8.5% LOWER; Sells $40M in Stock for $8/Share
Chordiant Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRD) 8% LOWER; sees Q4 revenue of approximately $21.7 million, which compares to the consensus of $26.74 million. Sees Q4 Non-GAAP net loss of approximately $7.1 million. Expects total revenue for fiscal year 2007 to range between $115.0 million and $120.0 million, which compares to the consensus of $115.8 million. The Company expects non-GAAP operating income to aggregate between 6% and 10% for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2007. The Company anticipates incurring non-GAAP operating losses in the first half of fiscal 2007.
Ciena (Nasdaq: CIEN) 8% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.14, $0.16 adjusted, versus the consensus of $0.13. Revenues came in at $160 million versus the consensus of $159.95 million.
Altair Nanotechnologies Inc. (NASDAQ: ALTI) 5% LOWER; has agreed to sell a total of 9,259,259 units, each unit consisting of (i) one common share and (ii) one warrant to purchase 0.25 common shares at an exercise price of $2.70 per share, for a purchase price of $2.70 per unit.
Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) 5% LOWER; Banc of America starts at Sell
Input/Output, Inc. (NYSE: IO) 4.9% LOWER; has been awarded a contract to provide 14, state-of- the-art land seismic imaging systems to Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), the national oil company of India.
Asta Funding, Inc., (Nasdaq: ASFI) 4.5% HIGHER; report Q4 EPS of $0.93, versus the consensus of $0.78,. Revenues came in at $30.5 million versus the consensus of $25.3 million.
SiRF Technology Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: SIRF) 4% LOWER; Jefferies Says TomTom Second Source is No Longer Just a Rumor
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (NYSE: TMO) 3.4% HIGHER; is raising its full-year 2007 adjusted earnings per share (EPS) estimate to a range of $2.35 to $2.45, from $2.27 to $2.37 presented on May 8, 2006, when the merger of Thermo Electron and Fisher Scientific was announced. Current FY07 EPS consensus is $2.36
Syntax-Brillian Corporation (Nasdaq: BRLC) 3% HIGHER; extended its existing strategic supply agreement with LG.Philips LCD (NYSE: LPL) through 2007 and will also collaborate with the company on future research and development efforts at a joint office in Nanjing, China.
Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F) 1.6% HIGHER; Merrill Lynch upgrade
Bear Stearns Companies Inc. (NYSE: BSC) 1.3% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of $4.00, above the consensus of $3.36. Revenues came in at $2.4 billion versus the consensus of $2.2 billion.
