Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBGI) Misses Q1 EPS by 15c

Sinclair Broadcast Group (NASDAQ: SBGI) reported Q1 EPS of $0.42, $0.15 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.57. Revenue for the quarter came in at $665.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $665.01 million.

For Q2, Media revenues are expected to be approximately $684.3 million to $688.4 million, up 7.5% to 8.1% year-over-year.

For FY 2018, Media expenses, including trade expense, are expected to be approximately $1,815 million to $1,818 million, of which $163 million relates to acquisitions and revenue-generating initiatives, and $13 million to stock-based compensation expense.
