American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) reported Q1 EPS of $0.96, $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.99. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.02 billion.

The ongoing benefits of those investments, combined with strong economic signals, support our confidence in achieving our 2018 operating earnings guidance range of $3.75 to $3.95 per share," said Nicholas K.
