Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC) 6% LOWER; revised financial guidance for 2006 primarily due to lower sales of certain vaccines compared to previous expectations. Expects diluted EPS for the fourth quarter of 2006 to be $0.66 to $0.68. This represents growth of 18% to 21% compared with the fourth quarter of 2005. Current consensus is $0.79. For the full-year 2006 Henry Schein expects diluted EPS to be $2.00 to $2.02, which represents growth of 17% to 18% compared with 2005 results. Current consensus is $2.13.
Comtech Telecom (Nasdaq: CMTL) 5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.41, 8 cents better than estimates.(0.33) Revenues were $97.1 million vs. $90.41 million consensus
Syntax-Brillian Corporation (Nasdaq: BRLC) 4.5% HIGHER; raised revenue guidance for the second quarter. Believes that revenue for the quarter will be at or above the high end of its $178 million to $190 million range.
Acorda Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACOR) 4% HIGHER; previously announced that it expected to meet with the Food and Drug Administration to discuss next steps for the Fampridine-SR development program before the end of 2006. The Registrant is updating that announcement to reflect that this meeting is scheduled for December 7, 2006.
SIRIUS Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI) 3% LOWER; announced that the company has updated its year-end 2006 subscriber guidance. The company sees 2006 subscriber guidance between 5.9 million and 6.1 million. The company had seen 6.3 million subscribers at year-end.
Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) 2.5% LOWER; announced its intention to offer, subject to market and other conditions, approximately $3 billion principal amount of Senior Convertible Notes due 2036, which will be unsecured.
Central Garden & Pet Co. (NASDAQ: CENT) INDICATED HIGHER; will replace JLG Industries Inc. (NYSE: JLG) in the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading on Wednesday, December 6.
