Francesca's (FRAN) Tops Q4 EPS by 1c, Comps Fall 15%, Guides Below Views

Francesca's (NASDAQ: FRAN) reported Q4 EPS of $0.20, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.19. Revenue for the quarter came in at $138.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $137.78 million.

This decrease was due to a 15% decrease in comparable sales compared to flat in the comparable prior year quarter

GUIDANCE:

Francesca's sees Q1 2018 EPS of ($0.10)-($0.13), versus the consensus of $0.14. Francesca's sees Q1 2018 revenue of $100-103 million, versus the consensus of $111.1 million.

• assuming a 13% to 15% decrease in comparable sales compared to the prior year decrease of 5%

Francesca's sees FY2018 EPS of $0.53-$0.63, versus the consensus of $0.63. Francesca's sees FY2018 revenue of $485-499 million, versus the consensus of $492.9 million.

• assuming a low-single digit decrease in comparable sales compared to the prior year decrease of 11%.
