Pioneer Energy Services (NYSE: PES) reported Q4 EPS of ($0.14), $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.12). Revenue for the quarter came in at $126.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $126.1 million.
- Revenues for the fourth quarter of 2017 were $126.3 million, up 8% from revenues of $117.3 million in the third quarter of 2017 (the prior quarter) and up 77% from revenues of $71.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2016 (the year-earlier quarter).
- Net loss for the fourth quarter of 2017 was $12.6 million, or $0.16 per share, compared with net loss of $17.2 million, or $0.22 per share, in the prior quarter and net loss of $36.1 million, or $0.53 per share, in the year-earlier quarter.
- Adjusted net loss(1) for the fourth quarter was $11.1 million, and adjusted EPS(2) was a loss of $0.14 per share as compared to adjusted net loss of $11.3 million, or an adjusted EPS loss of $0.15 per share, in the prior quarter.
