UPWARD MOVERS:
US Airways Group (NYSE: LCC) +$6.67; Company made a merger proposal to Delta Air Lines (OTC: DALRQ) under which both companies would combine upon Delta's emergence from bankruptcy. The proposal would provide approximately $8.0 billion of value in cash and stock to Delta's unsecured creditors.

Daktronics (Nasdaq: DAKT) +$5.39; Reports Q2 earnings of $0.22 per share, 7 cents better than estimates. Revenues came in at $123.5 million versus the consensus of $97.8 million. Sees Q3 EPS of $0.12-$0.18 versus the consensus of $0.14. Sees Q3 revenues of $103-$115 million versus the consensus of $92.1 million. Sees FY07 revenues of $450 million versus the consensus of $395.5 million.

Vanda Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: VNDA) +$5.39; Announced positive top-line results from the company's Phase III clinical trial evaluating VEC-162, a balanced melatonin receptor agonist, in transient insomnia.

Black & Decker (NYSE: BDK) +$5.09; Stock moving higher after Activist investor William Ackman announced holdings of 1.3 million shares (of BDK) through his investment firms.

Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) +$3.67; Airline sector/industry seeing interest after US Airways offered to acquire Delta this morning.


DOWNWARD MOVERS:
e-Future Information Technology (Nasdaq: EFUT) -$7.93; Said it is unaware of any business information underlying the increase in e-Future's per share price and trading volume.

Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE: ANF) -$3.31; Reports Q3 EPS of $1.11, 1 cent better than estimates.(1.10) Revenues were $863.4 million vs. $853.84 million consensus. The Company reaffirmed its previously provided earnings guidance for the second-half of fiscal 2006 of net income per diluted share to be in the range of $3.25 to $3.30, including a charge of approximately $0.02 attributable to FAS 123. The Company expects its net income per diluted share for the year to be in the range of $4.59 to $4.64, including approximately $0.10 attributable to FAS 123.

Comverse Technology (Nasdaq: CMVT) -$2.96; New accounting problems. Numerous broker downgrades.

Asbury Automotive Group (NYSE: ABG) -$1.97; Announced that Asbury Automotive Holdings L.L.C. has agreed to sell 3,072,856 shares of the Company's common stock in a public offering underwritten by Goldman, Sachs & Co. Shares sold by Asbury Automotive Holdings L.L.C. are being sold for the account of funds affiliated with Ripplewood Partners L.P.

Tween Brands (NYSE: TWB) -$1.50; Reports Q3 EPS of $0.58, 1 cent better than estimates. Revenues were $230.5 million vs. $232.94 million consensus. Tween Brands expects to report fourth quarter 2006 earnings per diluted share in the range of $0.95 to $1.00 vs. consensus of $0.98. The company is maintaining its previously issued updated earnings guidance for the fiscal year 2006 of $2.05 to $2.10 per diluted share vs. consensus of $2.08.
