Foundation Building Materials (FBM) Misses Q2 EPS by 6c, Miss on Revenues

Foundation Building Materials (NYSE: FBM) reported Q2 EPS of $0.03, $0.06 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.09. Revenue for the quarter came in at $529 million versus the consensus estimate of $538.17 million.

2017 Second Quarter Highlights

  • Record net sales of $529.2 million, an increase of 95.9% compared to the prior year period
  • Net income of $1.3 million, compared to a net loss of $3.0 million in the prior year period
  • Adjusted EBITDA of $40.3 million, Adjusted EBITDA margin of 7.6%1
  • Completed four acquisitions in the quarter
  • Base business net sales of $235.9 million, an increase of 9.0% compared to the prior year period
  • Completed the integration of Winroc-SPI
