FirstEnergy (FE) Tops Q2 EPS by 1c, Affirms FY 2017 Outlook

FirstEnergy (NYSE: FE) reported Q2 EPS of $0.61, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.60. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.3 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.38 billion.
GUIDANCE:
FirstEnergy sees Q3 2017 EPS of $0.75-$0.90, versus the consensus of $0.95.
FirstEnergy sees Q4 2017 EPS of $0.55-$0.70, versus the consensus of $0.95.
FirstEnergy sees FY 2017 EPS of $2.70-$3.00 , versus the consensus of $2.80.
"We are pleased with the continued solid performance of our regulated businesses in the second quarter, reflecting our customer-focused growth initiatives," said Charles E. Jones, FirstEnergy president and chief executive officer. "We remain on track to achieve the operating earnings guidance we outlined earlier this year."
