BioDelivery Sciences (BDSI) Tops Q1 EPS by 77c

BioDelivery Sciences (NASDAQ: BDSI) reported Q1 EPS of $0.89, $0.77 better than the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter came in at $29.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $27.53 million.

The increase in net income was attributable principally to the impact of the valuation of the licensing and distribution agreement for BELBUCA and recognition of deferred revenue associated with the license termination and reacquisition of BELBUCA.
